Chopard
About
Founded in 1860 by 24-year-old Louis-Ulysse Chopard in Sonvilier, Switzerland, Chopard began as a high-precision manufactory of pocket-watches and chronometers before relocating to Geneva in 1937. Acquired in 1963 by the Scheufele family, who still run the Maison today, Chopard has become one of the leading names in the luxury Swiss watch and jewellery industry, renowned for its creativity, state-of-the-art technology and the virtuosity of its artisans. Its iconic Happy Diamonds creations, featuring diamonds dancing freely between two sapphire crystals, debuted in 1976, joined by collections such as Happy Sport, Alpine Eagle, Precious Lace and the annual Red Carpet high jewellery line, crafted by the Maison's Geneva artisans in ethical gold.
